She has achieved the impossible by changing her life in a new direction that most people thought impossible. When Tammy debuted on 1000-lb Sisters in 2020, she weighed over 600 pounds. At the time, she was in her early 30s but suffered from various ailments like pain, stress, and food addiction. Tammy was also unable to move because of morbid obesity and relied on her family to assist her.

When Tammy began her weight-loss journey, she gained weight instead of losing it. The Dixon, Illinois, resident couldn’t control herself and indulged in unhealthy habits. She got ill and went to the hospital because of severe breathing issues. Tammy had to survive a medically induced coma before she realized that it was time to give herself the life she deserved.
