90 Day Fiancé star Michael Ilesanmi is known for being loved and supported by most viewers and fellow cast members. However, one particular former cast member has sided with Angela Deem and has a personal grudge against Nigerian men. Her perspective seems to have been shaped by a negative experience she had when dating a Nigerian man, leading her to take a different stance from most fans and cast members who support Michael.
It’s important to remember that not everything you see on reality TV is real. This includes relationships, storylines, and certain extra-dramatic scenes. It led us to believe that Angela may have been exaggerating when she claimed that her Nigerian husband, Michael, is using the name “Paradise Man” to lead and run an online secret community comprising Nigerian men whose goal is to trick and scam foreign women for money and green cards.
If Angela’s dangerous claims were valid, bringing Michael to the United States would be illogical. In such a scenario, it would make more sense to promptly revoke his visa before he arrives in the country with her, especially considering the serious allegation that he is purportedly a dangerous scam ring leader from Nigeria. These actions would be a reasonable precaution to protect against any potential harm or illegal activities he may be involved in.
A possible explanation for all of this is that the show’s producer wanted to create a shocking story out of nothing. Michael might be a Facebook group admin for Nigerian men who are having difficulty obtaining visas due to repeated rejections for various reasons. These groups exist and usually serve as platforms for members to share their experiences online, support each other, and learn from one another’s mistakes. This ultimately improves their chances of securing visas during their following interviews at the American Embassy in Nigeria.
Fellow cast member Baby Girl Lisa was in a relationship with a Nigerian singer, Usman. She faced criticism for making racist remarks towards him and using inappropriate slurs, leading to her being blacklisted from the 90-Day Fiancé franchise. Lisa and Usman ended their relationship in 2020. Following this, the American started to hold a grudge against Nigerian men, and the Angela and Michael situation was her chance to get revenge.
Lisa left a comment under an Instagram post uploaded by a fan page supporting Angela Deem. She mentioned that she would be upset, too, if she were in Angela’s shoes. In the same comment, Lisa also tagged the Department of Homeland Security’s official Instagram page, asked them to investigate Michael Ilesami’s shady online activities, and requested that they send him back to Nigeria, as his presence in the United States represents a danger to Angela and her family.
