90 Day Fiance star Jon Walters and his wife, Rachel Bear Walters, just gave fans some new life updates. The TLC couple, who is still in a long-distance marriage, has been working on reuniting after years of being apart.
The ongoing pandemic made things extra difficult for Jon and Rachel. Plus, their visa application status remains up in the air. Still, that didn’t stop the fan-favorite couple from seeing each other again sooner than many expected.
90 Day Fiance: Jon and Rachel Walters To Reunite in January
Jon and Rachel Walters’ reunion has been long overdue, but it’s finally happening soon. The 90 Day Fiance stars announced the good news on Instagram, much to their fans’ delight.
In their joint IG account, Rachel and Jon teased about the upcoming reunion, which was made difficult by COVID-19. “It’s been 2 years for us,” Rachel wrote. “Has the pandemic stopped you from seeing anyone you loved?”
In a separate post, Rachel Walters confirmed that she was able to book flights to the U.K. as travel restrictions started to loosen up.
“We have flights booked for 2 weeks together in the U.K.,” the 90 Day Fiance star wrote. Rachel added that she and her daughter Lucy will finally meet Jon in January 2022.

Rachel and Jon Excited for Reunion
Many find the two-week trip too short for Rachel and Jon Walters to catch up and make up for the lost time. Still, the 90 Day Fiance couple is grateful that it’s finally happening.
Jon and Rachel last saw each other face to face in January 2020. They were supposed to meet again in May this year but got canceled due to the pandemic.
Since then, the 90 Day Fiance lovebirds resorted to daily phone calls and video chats. But all that is about to change in a few weeks as they will finally see each other again.
When asked why it took them so long to reunite, Rachel’s response was quite straight to the point. “Job loss, COVID, everything in between,” she said.

90 Day Fiance Couple Shares Latest Updates on Visa Status
Meanwhile, Jon Walters’ visa status continues to be up in the air. The 90 Day Fiance alum applied for a waiver of ineligibility earlier this year after his first application got denied.
Rachel and Jon had to pay $900 for the process, but it was all worth it. Their waiver was accepted earlier than anticipated.
However, the 90 Day Fiance stars have yet to receive some good news from the immigration office. Rachel Walters said she and Jon Walters are hoping to get the final answer “in less than a year.”
For now, they are looking forward to spending every minute of their two-week vacation together.
