‘Sister Wives’: Was Kody Brown’s anger over his wife leaving because of money?

The reality TV star is furious about the end of his sacred marriage, but what’s the real reason he’s angry?

The writing is on the wall for Sister Wives star  Kody Brown as Christine, Janelle and Meri Brown walk away from their sacred marriage to the TLC star within two years. However, his reaction to their leaving seems deeper than rejection. Was his anger about the end of the union about money?

In his mind, Kody Brown behaved typically like a polygamist in his marriage to Christine, Janelle, and Meri Brown. He sets the rules, spends time with him and their shared children when he wants, and everyone is happy; until they don’t.

However, when Christine, Janelle, and Meri saw the writing on the wall regarding Kody’s favoritism toward Robyn Brown, they made the difficult decision to leave.

Christine Brown was the first to escape. In November 2021, she officially ended her mental connection with Kody. Janelle follows a year later, at the end of 2022, and Meri Brown in 2023.

Kody was angry that Christine was going to leave him and their family. He behaves similarly with Janelle, not realizing his distance and demanding an end to their union. Sadly, his relationship with Meri was so rocky that he wasn’t sad when they broke up.

Kody’s reaction wasn’t just because his wife left him behind? Was it the loss of financial security that they brought him to mourn?

Janelle worked throughout her marriage to Kody at various 9-5 jobs, then sold Plexus. During the show’s early seasons, Christine worked evenings and later sold LuLaRoe and Plexus. Meri remains one of LuLaRoe’s best-selling products.

However, their income went with them when they all decided to leave. How does this loss affect Kody’s finances?

When  Sister Wives  first debuted on TLC, Kody said he was in commercials. He later claimed his source of income was from sales. Since those early days, Kody hasn’t shared how he makes his money outside of starring on the TLC series.

Typically, reality show stars are compensated for their appearances on an episode-by-episode basis. Showbiz Cheat Sheet previously reported that the Browns were paid between $25,000 and $40,000 per episode.

Because the Brown family pooled all of their resources, depending on the number of episodes, they could earn between $350,000 and $500,000 per season. Even for a large family, that’s a huge amount of money totaling millions of dollars in wages for 18 seasons of work.

However, when Christine, Janelle, and Meri left, their salaries and outside sources of income went with them. Kody was hit hard financially when all his wives left him and he was unable to withdraw money from their income to buy lavish items such as jewelry and art. art, fortune, and anything else his heart desires.

The Sister Wives star  is truly the king of his castle with three worker bee wives. However, one of his wives doesn’t have to do any work except filming for the TLC series, which is Robyn Brown.

Even though he may have generated some income from his side hustle, Kody still relies on TLC and Meri, Christine and Janelle’s paychecks to keep the family afloat. In the meantime, he and Robyn used the family’s joint money to fund their lavish lifestyle.

During season 19, fans noticed Kody and Robyn’s home art gallery, with walls filled with paintings. Kody and Robyn wear new jewelry, including a new diamond engagement ring and Robyn’s wedding band, cementing Kody’s role as the only wife.

In fact, Kody’s daughter, Gwendlyn Brown, revealed the couple’s spending habits on her YouTube channel. She said, “I think my dad and Robyn have a terrible habit of spending like crazy and completely out of their means. Also, Janelle and Meri are quite similar to my mother [Christine] and they won’t be salty or petty and try to take money from him even though they totally deserve it because he spends all their money on whatever something. ”

So, with each wife gone, Kody’s income dropped by more than half. With a large mortgage remaining on his multi-million dollar home in Flagstaff, Arizona and only Sister Wives  and Cameo videos as income, Kody may soon have to make big changes in the lifestyle he lives in. He may not want to face it.
