After 32 years of marriage, Sister Wives star Meri Brown finally walked away from Kody Brown, but she continues to protect her former sister wife, Robyn Brown. Meri was Kody’s first wife, and they had one child together. Meri and Kody were married in the Mormon church in 1990 in front of their family, friends, and congregation. Over time, he spent more time with Robyn and her children and less time with his other wives and their children. In 2014, wanting to legally adopt Robyn’s three children from her first marriage, Kody even legally divorced Meri and married Robyn. Instead of appreciating Meri’s painful sacrifice, Kody went on to neglect his lonely first wife more than ever.

In June, Meri recently appeared on the Miss Understood Podcast, which aired on YouTube, and she posted about it on Instagram. It was an hour-plus-long interview, during which Meri addressed the fact that many fans blame Robyn for the dissolution of the Brown family. Meri insisted that Kody’s marriages were in trouble long before Robyn was in the picture. The fact that Meri keeps defending Robyn is not surprising, as Meri is used to letting Kody and his fourth wife walk all over her.
