Although the show  Sister Wives  focuses on how Kody Brown experiences plural marriage, three of his wives have experienced monogamy. Eagle-eyed fans noticed that the wives desperately wanted to see plural marriage work, but they were also living lives that showed them a different perspective on marriage.

Only one of Kody Brown’s wives is not experiencing monogamy

On Reddit, one Sister Wives fan  provided insight to another as the details matched that polygamy is with experienced monogamy. First, the user declared: “Christine has never been monogamous like everyone else!” They then went on to say, “I was just thinking after watching S2 when Robyn said how weird it would be to be monogamous, which really made me roll my eyes because Robyn is actually monogamous a husband for many years. That made me realize that they were all monogamous / were all monogamous at one point except Christine!”

Kody Brown is Christine’s only experience

While Kody Brown is Christine’s only wife, the other wives have had more. Furthermore, the original poster provides more details:

Other  Sister Wives fans  joined in the discussion about Kody Brown and polygamy. Many people quickly mocked Robyn Brown’s “expertise” on plural marriage.

• “Robyn has never lived true polygamy but she has certainly positioned herself as an expert.”
• Likewise, this thread is filled with mocking comments like, “Ummm, Robyn is an expert on polygamy, as evidenced by the commentary on her sofa chat. She was sabotaged by her goblin wife and children over and over again. The obstacles she endured are a testament to her inner strength as a sister-wife.”

More fans pointed out that Meri was not fully enjoying “monogamy.”

Some other Redditors mentioned that Meri Brown is somewhat “monogamous.” However, they point out that she and Kody Brown are always chasing the next wife. There’s no denying, it’s hard to focus on one person when there are spots to fill in a polyamory dream.

• “I wonder if what Meri has when she’s the only wife is really the same as monogamy. If my marriage was monogamous and my husband was looking for other marriages, I think things would be completely different. When Meri and Kody Brown added Christine to their family, she was young and didn’t really understand her needs. For several seasons, Christine expressed how much she wanted Kody to see her and desire her. However, she knew she needed to balance that with sharing his time with the other wives. Unfortunately, that’s the source of the jealousy she’s learned to express and acknowledge over the seasons of Sister Wives  . Some fans discussed how she was the “glue” for the family.
